Privacy notice

How the Support Groups app uses your information. Version 2026-11-v2.

Who holds your data

The APC Delta North Campaign Council, through its Directorate of Support Groups ("the Council"), is the data controller. Triax Technologies Limited builds and hosts the app for the Council as its data processor, at no cost to the Council. The data belongs to the Council, and Triax hands it over in full or deletes it on the Council's instruction.

What we hold

Your name, phone number, voter card number (VIN), National Identification Number (NIN), the support group you belong to, your LGA, ward, unit and polling unit, the date you were enrolled and who enrolled you; optionally your gender, age band and occupation; the results of any call-back or voter-card check; reports you send to the Council; and which Council messages you have read.

Belonging to a political support group reveals your political affiliation, which the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 treats as sensitive personal data. We only hold it with your explicit consent, which we record with the date and the version of this notice.

Why we hold it

  • To make sure each voter is counted once across Delta North and that support groups report real numbers.
  • To confirm members by phone call-backs, and to verify, accredit and rank support groups.
  • To send you rally notices, campaign updates, mobilisation calls and election-day reminders.
  • To receive your reports and concerns, so they reach the Council from your ward and polling unit.
  • To organise the campaign in your ward and polling unit, and for future Party mobilisation in Delta North.

We do not sell your data or share it outside the Council and its processor.

To count each voter once, this register is checked against the Council's Delta North Election Management System before a record is saved. The check only answers whether the voter card, NIN or phone is already enrolled there; no other details are shared.

Your NIN is checked once with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) through Prembly, a licensed verification partner, to catch mistyped or invalid numbers. We keep only the answer (matched, name differs or not found), never the details NIMC holds about you.

Who can see it

  • You can see your own record when you sign in with your phone.
  • Your group coordinator sees members they enrolled (with the NIN masked), and only the name, ward and polling unit of members who enrolled themselves.
  • LGA and ward coordinators of the Council see records in their own area, with the NIN masked.
  • Your reports go only to the Council, not to your group coordinator.
  • Authorised Directorate staff see full records. Every change and export is logged.

How we protect it

Your NIN is encrypted when stored and shown masked on screen. Directorate staff sign in with two-factor authentication.

How long we keep it

[Retention period to be confirmed by the Council: the memo describes the register as an asset that outlives the 2027 campaign, so state how long records are kept after the election and when consent is renewed.]

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your record, or withdraw your consent, at any time. You can correct your own record by signing in until it has been confirmed. For anything else, contact [email protected]. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

You can ask for your record to be removed from My record → Remove my record.
